How I Build Websites
Step 1: Phone or Email
Get in touch so we can discuss the details and specifics or your project.
STEP 2: Fill in Your Intake Form
I'll send along my intake form and a link to dropbox space for you to put your text, logo and photos. I will also need a deposit and a signed contract.
STEP 3: I'll Check in With You
Based on your supplied materials and our conversations, I will choose your theme, fonts, colours and other customizations necessary to build your site. I first build your homepage and from there I check-in with you for approval before building the remainder of your site. We have a second check-in once the site is complete.
STEP 4: Launch & Celebrate
Once you have approved your website, I post it live. I'll send along a cheat sheet on how to update your website and theme. You go on with your day, do what you do best, your business, your site is done, hooray!

- Before I can start your website I need from you:
- Your logo
- Examples of your current brand in use
- Actual photos or stock photos
- Content for each page
- Logins and links to social media accounts, MailChimp, etc.
- You will need to pay your 50% deposit on booking
- You will need to be available during development for virtual feedback and approval on my 2 check-ins.
- The second payment will be due once your website goes live.
- Installation and selection of a premium Wordpress theme or Selection of a Squarespace template
- Design and customization of that theme to suit your logo and existing brand materials. I style your website to look like you.
- Up to 5 Pages, this usually includes a Home Page, an About Page, A Product or Services Page, A testimonials and a Contact Page.
OR - Up to 10 page website
- Contact Form, Integration of your Email Newsletter Sign-up and Social Media Links
- Setup of a user account for you to access for you to edit upon completion
- Online Training for you to make updates yourself
A 5 Page Website can take as little as a week if all the preparation is done. If you have additional pages or requests or are unable to get back to me in our set timeframe, expect it to take longer.
My content collection form has some hints and tricks to help you to write your content. You can also provide me with bullet form content, and I can hire a copywriter to put it together for you for an extra cost. The content will need to be in its final form before we can start building your site.
Yes, for sure. I include some training manuals, and I will be available for a phone call or email or two until you feel comfortable as well.
